DON'T FIGHT IT

THE DAILY

What have your beliefs done for you lately?

Don’t believe anything, not even this.

I’m not saying that I believe what I’m about to say, but I do mean it. That means I stand by it, and not as being true, but as valid and worth saying. This isn’t to fool you. I’m committed to what I say, I’m just not pretending that it’s true.

This means you are relieved of the burden of having to try and figure out whether or not you believe me, because I’m not saying it’s the truth. I’m not asking you to agree with me or believe anything. I’m inviting you to consider a possibility. The possibility that…

all beliefs, including yours, are no good.

and look out from it for yourself at your self and you life. I am willing to give this up, if when looking out and into myself and life something opens up forme that that changes this I am not afraid to change my mind based on what I see.

You probably think you’re beliefs are good or helping you. You might even think they’re so important or necessary that everyone should believe what you believe

Believing is such an innate human quality, so natural, that we accept our beliefs without even realizing we have and assume they are good, helpful, important and necessary.

And I say that because you probably think your beliefs are good, helping you, or maybe even necessary for some reason (most likely that “reason” will just be another belief). It’s not even unusual for someone to believe that their beliefs are important, not just for them, but for all of humanity to believe as well. That their belief or set of beliefs is so good, so undeniably positive, that to disagree or reject it would obviously have to be bad.

One such example

it’s important to talk shit about beliefs and diminish their reality and importance because they are not true, and their chance of being accurate is so low that is them as a guide towards your dreams and desires is a formula for failure and misery *(The starving artist)

Must question our beliefs or freedom and opportunities, which do not come to those that smoke hopium and wish and wait for good things to happen to them

Since we’re here and talking about Selling Out, an example of one such belief would be: “Artists trying to make money and sell is bad” or some version of that, such as “Artists shouldn’t focus on business, money or marketing” or “This is Art not business”.
