Artist sells out by getting a job at Starbucks

Manhattan - After more than three long months of trying to sell his art, first to various galleries with no luck and then on the sidewalk to passing tourists in Union square, disillusioned aspiring New York artist Jon Schmole told #SELLOUT Monday that he is doing the unthinkable. “I was struggling to make money off my art because no one was buying it and that's when I realized it was the money I needed more than the art, so I said fuck it! and sold out and got a job.” said Schmole, who admitted that he has been much more successful at earning money as a Barista than he ever was as an artist. "I know art is more fun and my deepest passion and everything, but it wasn't making me any money, and that sucks more than serving people coffee."

When asked if he would still make art Scmole mused "Yeah I think I'll still make art at night when I get home from work, and maybe on the weekends if none of my friends are going to brunch." And when asked if he felt good about his decision a glassy-eyed Schmole responded "Sure I hate working at Starbucks, but at least I get paid now." #

Schmole's coffee cup art is outstanding, but he says it is the only form of art he has any time to actually make now that he has a real job...
